“Migrant Connections” has been generously supported by a Global Learning Across the Disciplines grant from the Office for Global Engagement at the University of Utah. It is part of the larger “Race and Ethnicity in Global Contexts” research project undertaken by Drs. Alborz Ghandehari, Annie Fukushima, and Ed Muñoz in Ethnic Studies.
To learn more about Migrant Connections, read Dr. Ghandehari’s article on the project in Social Identities, “The Roots of Uprooting: Migrant Oral History and Internationalist Solidarity.”
Students in ETHNC 3790 are part of the University of Utah’s Transfer Diversity Scholars program. This is a cohort program under the Center for Ethnic Student Affairs geared toward supporting a smooth transition for transfer students in their first semester at the U. This project has also been supported by the U of U Bennion Center and staff at the J. Willard Marriott Library. For more, check out this interview about the project in the Marriott Library Newsletter.
